or drop files here
Accepts MP4, MOV, and WebM, up to 200 MB each.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
How do I make a video file smaller without uploading it?
To make a video smaller without uploading it, open FilesAll's Compress video, add your video and press Compress video. FilesAll saves a smaller MP4 that plays on any phone or computer, and you never get a bigger file. It all runs in your browser on your own device, so the video stays private.
How to compress a video in 3 steps
Add your video
Press Choose files and pick a video from your phone or computer. MP4, MOV and WebM all work.
Choose how small
Smaller file is already picked and is best for email and messages. Better quality keeps full size and shrinks the file less.
Download your smaller video
Press Download to save the new MP4. You see the new size first, and your original is not changed.
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my video get?
It depends on the video. Phone videos often get much smaller with Smaller file, which also lowers the picture size to HD. If FilesAll can't make yours smaller, it tells you and your original stays as it was.
Will my video look worse?
With Smaller file it looks a little softer on a large screen, but fine on phones and in email. Better quality keeps the full picture size and looks almost the same.
Why won't my iPhone video work?
iPhones usually record video in a format called HEVC. Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac can read it. Chrome and Edge can read it only on some computers and phones, and Firefox cannot. If your browser can't, FilesAll tells you; try Safari.
How long does it take?
Compressing re-saves every frame, so a long video takes a while, and a computer is usually faster than a phone. You see the progress and can cancel at any time.
Is there a size limit?
Free accounts can compress videos up to a set size. Pro allows much larger videos. FilesAll tells you before it starts if a video is too large.
Is FilesAll free?
Yes. You can use FilesAll free every day without signing up, and the tool shows how many free files you have left today. A free account gives you more each day, and Pro removes the daily limit.
Do I need to install anything?
No. FilesAll works in the web browser you already have, on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install, and you do not need an account to start.
Are my files uploaded?
No. FilesAll does all the work inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our servers or anyone else's, and they disappear when you close the tab.
