Terms of Service

This page is a draft. A few company details are still being filled in.
These terms are an agreement between you and FilesAll ("we", "us") for your use of FilesAll at filesall.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
FilesAll lets you compress, convert, organize and sign files, save the audio from your own videos as MP3, and copy text from scans and photos. All file processing happens inside your web browser on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to us, and we cannot see, read or store them.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to consent to online services where you live if that is higher. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Accounts
You can use the Service as a guest or create a free account with Google or an email sign-in link. A sign-in lasts 30 days from your last visit, unless you sign out. Keep access to your Google account and email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at support@filesall.com if you believe your account has been misused.
4. Plans and limits
- Guests can process a limited number of files each day and may unlock more by watching a short video ad.
- Free accounts have higher daily limits and may also unlock more by watching an ad.
- Pro removes these limits and ads and adds extra features, as described on our pricing page.
We may change limits and features with notice on the site. Changes to a paid plan you already hold take effect at your next renewal.
Ads for extra files. Extra files from watching an ad are a free bonus, not a purchase. Ads play on a separate page run with our ad partners, who may collect information as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy describe. We cap how many ads count each day, and an ad may not always be available. Ad content comes from advertisers, not from us, and we do not endorse it.
5. Pro subscriptions
Pro is a paid subscription for one person, billed monthly or yearly. The price is shown on our pricing page and at checkout before you pay. Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax, which is added at checkout.
- Seller of record. Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record: it takes your payment, charges sales tax, and sends receipts and invoices, and its name appears on your statement. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year and is charged to the payment method you used, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. When Pro starts, we email you the renewal date and how to cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account page (Manage or cancel your subscription) or by writing to support@filesall.com. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan.
- Refunds. You can get a full refund within 14 days of any Pro payment, first or renewal, with no reason needed. A refund ends Pro at once. Our Refund Policy has the details.
- Switching plans. You can switch between monthly and yearly from your account page. Lemon Squeezy credits what is left of your current period.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Lemon Squeezy tries again and Pro keeps working for a short grace period. If the payment still fails, your account moves to the free plan.
- Price changes. If we change the Pro price, we email you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
- Disputes. If you dispute a Pro charge with your bank, Pro ends while the dispute is open and we may refuse new purchases on that account. Please contact us first; a refund is usually faster.
- Pro on your devices. Pro works on any of your own devices where you sign in, in browsers that support it. Each device remembers Pro for a few days, so after you cancel or get a refund, Pro can take a few days to end on each device.
6. Your files and content
You keep all rights to your files. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive them and claim no rights to them. You are responsible for having the right to process, convert and sign the files you use, including any music or video, and for keeping your own copies. A browser tab can crash, so do not rely on the Service as your only copy of anything.
7. Electronic signatures
The Sign tool creates simple electronic signatures: a typed or drawn signature placed on a PDF. Simple electronic signatures are accepted for many documents, but not for all; some documents legally require a handwritten, witnessed, notarized or certificate-based signature. We do not verify anyone's identity. You are responsible for deciding whether a simple electronic signature is suitable for your document and for signing only as yourself or with authority.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent or to forge another person's signature;
- use bots, scripts or multiple accounts to get around usage limits, or fake or automate ad views;
- attack, overload or disrupt the Service or its security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
9. Our rights
The Service, its design, code and brand belong to FilesAll and its licensors. Open-source components are used under their own licenses. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service, nothing more.
10. Third-party services
We rely on providers such as Google (sign-in and ads), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Supabase (accounts database), Resend (sign-in and account emails) and AppLixir (ads). Their services are governed by their own terms.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make it reliable, but we do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every file will process correctly. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, FilesAll is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
13. Indemnity
If you use the Service for business and your misuse of it causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
14. Ending use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Service; if we stop offering a paid plan, we will refund the unused part.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email account holders at least 14 days before they apply.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in Canada or elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you, and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law allows.
17. Language
These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience; if a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
