Frequently asked questions
Why are pictures I save from websites WebP files?
Many websites send pictures as WebP because it loads quickly. Your browser shows them fine, but some apps, printers and upload forms only accept JPG or PNG.
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so see-through parts get a solid background. To keep transparency, use WebP to PNG instead.
Will the picture lose quality?
At the default setting the difference is very hard to see. JPG is the most widely accepted picture format, so it is a good choice for sharing and printing.
Can I convert an animated WebP?
No. FilesAll converts still WebP images only. If you add an animated one, it tells you instead of saving a single frame.
Can I make the JPGs smaller too?
Yes. Lower the quality under More options, or use Compress JPG on the finished files.
Is FilesAll free?
Yes. You can use FilesAll free every day without signing up, and the tool shows how many free files you have left today. A free account gives you more each day, and Pro removes the daily limit.
Do I need to install anything?
No. FilesAll works in the web browser you already have, on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install, and you do not need an account to start.
Are my files uploaded?
No. FilesAll does all the work inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our servers or anyone else's, and they disappear when you close the tab.
Want to check for yourself? Your browser's developer tools list every request this page makes. None of them carries your file.
